My, my hasn’t music come a long way since it’s beginnings? Without words we created it, and we were able to express our feelings through it. Then we gave names to those feelings and we communicated it verbally. We set those words to musical backgrounds and created this huge explosion of emotion and creativity.
So, where are we now? Popular music follows the same trends still. It has its emotions and craftily worded messages. It provides the listener with images of the past, present and future. Furthermore, we can now view the artists who create music on our televisions and magazine covers. Music now has image, and for every style of music in the world, an image has been attached.
Whether this is good or bad, music is still one of the most influential forms of art on the planet.
